Betty likes to dance and sing and shake her hair and other things
But she'll go sit down at the bar when nobody's looking
Betty wants to sell her soul but doesn't want a soul to know
And when it's time to sleep, she tries to really get cooking

Me, I'm doing fine with the pictures in my mind
And though I never get bored, I seem to cry every time
Betty, you're a star if there's one I've ever seen

Suzy isn't very funny, hangs around and asks for money
She'll go smoke a cigarette when nobody's looking
Suzy wants to take control, but somehow only Suzy knows
That she's the best there's ever been, yeah, she really can swing

Sherri is a helpless toy who never really felt much joy
She'll comfort herself at a mirror where nobody's looking
Sherri wants to rock and roll but doesn't want her friends to know
When they're all fast asleep, that Sherri, she can do anything
