Starting off the imagination
For the moment I thought I would lack
I'm so happy that I can return

Every kiss that I've ever spoken,
Every word that I've ever blown
Always felt like a forced interruption
I don't really know

It's so hard to laugh when you're alone
And understand what's going on,
So hard to laugh when you're alone

If you feel under the weather,
Let your head turn my way
If you feel no joy or sorrow,
Know tomorrow's not far away

Every time I go the distance,
Makes no difference what I say
Anyhow, I need to feel loved
I've come close, but I'm afraid

Starting off on a situation
If it might do someone else some good
I don't really like to feel wrong,
And I don't think that I should

It's so hard to dance when you're alone
And have no one to call your own,
